39 East New Location

Eng Hong is not only one of my favorite local photographers but also a friend. So when 39 East Photography moved from it’s  old Haji Lane location to it’s spanking new 84 Joo Chiat Place location, I had to pop by to say hi!

I’ve always loved old buildings and their new place is just so architecturally pretty. It’s also much nearer to my home which is another plus point!

With the photo studio and office on the 2nd level and a bridal gown boutique on the first level, it was a very lovely complementary partnership.

There were so many couples that day that came down and made bookings for 39 East to be their wedding photographer and the place was bustling with movement! Luckily we still managed to find some time to catch up with Eng Hong and Meiyun.

Congrats to 39 East photography on their new location which they moved a couple of months back. I’ve been away but I hope to meet up with Eng Hong and Meiyun soon for some boardgames or to bring out dogs out!

After the afternoon at 39 East, I headed to Applebee’s to meet Regina, Yitian and Jun for dinner.

I’ve had Applebee’s countless of times when I was in the US (especially when I’m in NY) but this is the first time I’ve tried the local Applebee’s restaurant at TripleOne Somerset. The food is good even though it doesn’t taste as good as its’ US counterparts. However, the portion sizes are still huge so it’s a great place to order and share.

Good food is nothing without great company. I had a wonderful time catching up with both Regina and Yitian.

My idea of good company is the company of clever, well-informed people who have a great deal of conversation; that is what I call good company.
